Applying For Alien Registration Card

According to Korean law, to reside in Korea for more than 3 months, you must apply for an Alien Registration Card within 90 days of arrival in Korea.

This permit is required regardless of your visa status, and it is to your advantage to obtain it as soon as possible.

Required Documents (In case of D-2 visa holder)

  1. 1Application Form
  2. 2A Copy of Passport (both Bio and Visa pages)
  3. 3Color ID Photograph (3.5cm * 4.5cm)
  4. 4Official Certificate of Enrollment
  5. 5Medical Certificate - for specific nationalities only
  6. 6Fee (30,000 KRW)
Notification of Changes in Registration Information

In the event of changes in any of the information listed below. Report the status change within 14 days from the date of change by visiting an Immigration office or filing an E-application at http://www.hikorea.go.kr/

name, gender, date of birth, nationality, residential address in Korea, passport number, passport issue date & expiration date, school, etc.
